Dancing Shoes!

1-29-10-small-5

Today we made the big trek to the ballet store to buy ballet shoes for Paprika. Yup, she's starting ballet and tap dance. She is over the moon excited about it. She has not taken her ballet shoes off her feet since she first tried them on, not even to walk back to the car. Guess who carried her four blocks to the car? Me!

We went in for ballet shoes and a leotard and left with two of the girliest ballet dresses, tights, and ballet slippers. Paprika is the girliest girl ever!

Paprika did NOT want anything to do with the tap shoes. She said, "I do not like those. I like pretty pink shoes. I do not like black shoes. I will not wear black shoes." So we'll see what happens when she goes to dance class and tries to tap dance in ballet slippers!

Ginger was along for the ride, as usual. Ain't nothing easier than a smiling baby. Especially one this sweet! :-)

Paprika is very protective of her sister, which deserves a whole other post. I have never seen a child more in love with her sibling. It's pretty special.

Erika, I think our two big girls would get along like a house afire! They have a mutual love of everything pink and dance-y. :-)

I hope she loves the classes you signed her up for. I've been thinking about signing Gator up too but not with our crazy schedule...plus, she all of a sudden does horrible at gymnastics. *sigh* three year olds are so hard to read sometimes!

I can't wait to see pictures of P all dressed up to go to class! I'm sure she'll look adorable!

Awww.. I'm not the least bit sad to be an all-boy mom, but I do LOVE all the dressing up that you get to do with girls! That whole "I only need two pairs of shoes and one belt" thing starts at birth with boys! Cute pictures you've got.
