Paprika Is Speaking French

Today, Mr. Mustard and I took Paprika to the California Science Center in the morning and The Natural History Museum in the afternoon.

While we were in the toddler area at the Science Center playing with blocks, Paprika started speaking and we had no idea what she was saying. No idea. We started listening more carefully, and then I asked Paprika again what she was saying, and she pointed to Mr. Mustard and said, "Il joue avec des cubes." Excuse me? Then she said it again..."Il joue avec des cubes" and then started saying a bunch of other words in French. We looked it up when we got home and Il joue avec des cubes translates roughly to mean: he is playing with blocks.

Neither Mr. Mustard nor I speak French. We don't know anyone who speaks French! The only thing I can think of is that Paprika occasionally watches a French language program geared towards toddlers called Little Pim. I guess she is picking a phrase up here and there... So, that was kinda neat.

Drawing and Playing With Ink Stamps:

Paprika had a great time visiting all the exhibits. She especially loved the Rainforest Exhibit at the Natural History Museum...but our camera had already run out of batteries at that point (forgot to charge the camera- oops!)- so we didn't get any pictures.

Here are a few pics from our day together. Loads of fun, and Paprika was so tired at the end of the day that she fell asleep on the ride home!
