To The Amalfi Coast!

9-17-12-20

Friday after school, I took the girls to the Little Aquarium on the Pier. They had such fun petting the animals in the touch tanks, checking out the wildlife, and putting on a puppet show for yours truly.

Ginger had the best time playing with her shadow on the Pier:

The girls looked out at the ocean and talked to the fishermen at the end of the pier. Paprika really wants to go fishing off the end of the pier. I think she's going to ask Santa for a fishing pole for Christmas! When she catches a fish, she will want to kiss it, love it, and bring it home as a pet. Just you wait and see! ;-)

After the aquarium and the pier, we had a fun time at the beach. There were a lot of people at the beach. I noticed they were ALL speaking Italian. I was looking around to see if a cruise ship had dropped them off, but I couldn't see anything. It was surreal (and a teensy bit annoying), so I just pretended we were in Italy. A little vacation on the Amalfi coast with my three girls and we were the tourists. What could be better?! ;-)

Violet was having the best time in the sand, helping Ginger build sandcastles. She improvised using Paprika's shoe as a shovel. ;-)

She can stand up on her own now and is soooo close to walking. Just turned 10 months and about to walk. What?!!! She keeps me on my toes. ;-)

Got home and had Operation De-Sand...Ginger wanted to keep her swimsuit on in the tub (to practice for her swimming lesson).

So, that was our little Friday trip to the beaches of Italy...and I didn't even have to lug my kids halfway across the world to make it happen! Ciao bella!

Oh my goodness, she's standing! I gasped when I saw that pic; it seems such a short time since she was born.
Your little trip to "Italy" looks fab, and no long plane journey to endure.
Your beach and your ocean are really beautiful.
