Sixteen Candles!

My little brother turns 16 today! This photo was taken almost a year ago at Ginger's first birthday party.

Here he is back in 2007 with Paprika, my mom, and my step-dad, Eric...



I will always remember the day he was born. I was a senior in highschool, and I got the day off school! I was up all night with my mom at the hospital while she was in labor, and I was in the room when he was born. In fact, I was videotaping the delivery! He is the only sibling I have ever known, and so he holds an extra special place in my heart.

And the fact that I saw him take his first breath? Pretty extra special.

Here we are back when he was five. (Yes, I realize I could have gone easier on the spray tan! Don't hold it against me. Ha!)



I am trying not to feel too sorry for myself that he is in Indiana, and I am 2000 miles away on his special day. It is times like this when it is so hard not to live close!



I moved to California when Robbie was four years old...Paprika's age. And now here he is, sixteen. How did it happen so quickly?

Will I blink my eyes and Paprika will be driving, and Ginger a teenager? I guess that's how it works.









On a side note, I am selling stuff on Ebay right now. I don't know why I do it. It is so frustrating, and not worth my time...so after this time, I am promising myself I won't do it anymore. I am selling mostly baby clothes because if this baby makes it, he or she will be a winter baby, so the summer stuff won't really work. Oh, and if it's a boy, it definitely won't work! ;-)

All this Ebay selling is making me so nostalgic, and as soon as I sell a lot of clothes, I wish I hadn't. I just want to hold onto these little pieces of babyhood as long as I can!



But it all makes room for the next stage, which so far is proving to be even better than the stage before it.



So, here's to new beginnings and growing up. Just not too fast, okay?!
