98 Cent Magic!

12-7-10-1

Thank you so much for the support on my last post about Paprika's food issues. It feels good to put yourself out there and feel so surrounded by support. I will keep you posted on what happens.

It's been a busy week, and I feel like I've been doing a gazillion things all at one time and haven't had a moment to sit down, but at the end of the day, I can't seem to figure out what I got done.

Oh, well, one BIG thing we've been up to is that we are doing mini-remodels on our two bathrooms. I will have before and after photos for sure to post. Basically, I wanted to go fast-and-loose, but the Mr. wants things done right. Which, it turns out, takes longer than just slapping things together my way. But in the end, I think he's on to something. It's looking good.

Our trips to Home Depot (our home away from home these past few days), have been interesting. Tonight around 8pm, I ended up there with both girls by myself and without my wedding ring on (I took it off while I was painting). I think every dude in the place thought I was an available single mommy. Talk about customer service! Sha-zam! Or maybe it was just that the store was practically empty at that hour. I'm going with my first instinct. Haha!

Two trips ago to Home Depot, we got the girls these flashlights for 98 cents/piece. You would have thought we gave them magic. For serious. Who knew that it could be so much fun to turn off the lights and watch the flashlights glow?

Seriously, who could resist the 3 of you? One beautiful Mama and 2 adorable girls. If Ginger had on her favorite hat there would be no way any man could resist ya'll.
Flashlights are the best toys around as long as they don't figure out how to remove the batteries. I've given my grandson Jackson several. Different size flashlights do different things. He loves to go in the closet and make images on the walls. Kids are so much fun!!!!!

I found this at Target and Jackson is getting it for Christmas.
Handy Manny Flicker's Read in the Dark Storybook. It comes with a flashlight and each page has a cut out shape with a word for the shape in spanish. You open the page and shine the flashlight so the image appears on the wall. So cool, you read the book with the flashlight in the dark. It is my favorite Granny find for the holiday season. I can't wait to see his face light up when he reads me the story with his adorable vocabulary.

My kids love flashlights too! My husband gets free ones from a tool place he frequents and they are all over the house, the kids love them!
