Miss Doodlebug!

10-2-11-1-600

Daisy is now 5 1/2 months old. I don't know if she's getting more well-behaved, or I am just getting used to her. Ha!

She really is the sweetest dog, even at this mischevious puppy stage. She's so smart, and very eager to please. I have been setting up some major boundaries with her, and that has helped so much. One thing is that whenever she is with the girls, she has to be supervised. I know this will change as Daisy gets older and the girls get older. Right now, it's just the reality of it because Daisy can get way too excited, knock them over, and bite the girls (nip at them) because that's what she thinks playtime means.

Mr. M has been working very long hours lately, and at night it is so great to have my little Daisy cuddlebear to hang out with after the girls go to bed. I think that is her favorite part of the day! I feel like all I ever say to her is "No!" (no chewing the girls' toys, no jumping, no biting...no, no, no). But at night, when the house is all picked up and the girls are in bed, I don't have much of a reason to say no to her! :-)

Next week she goes in to get fixed just a few days before she turns 6 months old. Isn't that a wonderful early birthday present for her?! Haha. I am a little nervous about the surgery for her, but it's gotta be done.

It will be interesting to see how the dynamics change when Pavenzia arrives. I have gotten a pretty good system down juggling the dog and the kids...and training her is going really well, but things are still not perfect (obviously). I am sure that it's going to be a bit of a work in progress once Pavenzia is on the scene...so stay tuned!
