Just Goofing Around!

11-8-10-1

Yesterday, we had a good day. A long day, and a good one! Mr. Mustard read Ginger a book before he left for work yesterday morning. I have been missing him so much! This season of DWTS has been really intense and he has been gone a lot working on it. While I love the show and am so grateful that he's able to work on it, we all miss him so much when he's working these long hours. I guess it just makes us appreciate him that much more! ;-)

Speaking of DWTS, I was going to go yesterday. Mr. Mustard's mom, Pat, was going and I thought it would be fun to go with her and her friends. But...then I remembered that little detail about me not having a babysitter who can watch the girls for 5 hours (driving time plus taping time).

I just found a sitter last week (high school senior girl) who can babysit from time to time. I gave her a "trial run" last week when I had to go to an evening meeting at Paprika's school. The sitter did really well, but I think the two hours I was gone was pushing it. Especially for Ginger.

I just keep reminding myself that this is a season, and these girls will only be little once. And I am so grateful for the time I get to spend with them...even if all we do is a whole lot of goofing around!

Ginger loves the car. Of course she does! She is 16 months going on 16 years!

Our milkweed plants are still growing and thriving. We planted them with the hopes that they will attract more Monarch butterflies. The girls remember to water them more than I do- and so far, they're growing. Which is saying something because if you want to kill a plant, you really just need to give it to me!

We spent a lot of time hanging out...

Running...

And playing soccer. Both girls are so into playing soccer. And Ginger even kicks the ball and runs after it. What?!

When that got old, there was a lot of chalkboard drawing...

Of Happy Little People!

And painting! It was Ginger's first time really painting, and she did a great job!

Paprika wanted to paint only in purple. Ha!

And then Ginger got a little carried away with the paints! C'est la vie!

You're such a cool mom! :)

You're right, as Devon says, it's just a season... But it would have been fun going to DWTS. There's always next time though.
