Boating Day!

11-1-10-1-800

Yesterday we had fun playing dress-up with our spoils from the Halloween store clearance sale. As you can see, Ginger is already getting into the Christmas spirit. I think this Little Red Riding Hood is one of my favorite costumes we got. Paprika loved it so much that she wore it to school yesterday!

I always love Tuesdays because they're the day the Results show airs, so I know that it's the start of our "weekend" together. Mr. Mustard got home at a good time last night- early enough for us all to go vote. We took the jogging stroller up the street to our polling place.

I told Paprika we were going to vote, but she thought I said going to boat. I said voting, she heard boating. So, needless to say, she was really disappointed when we arrived at the polling place. It was not what she had in mind. I think she pictured us going for an evening sailboat ride complete with jumping dolphins in the water. Oh dear.

She recovered quickly. I was glad for it, too. We were at the polling place and she was wearing a full, head-to-toe Princess Jasmine costume. And there is nothing worse than being in public with a child having a melt-down in a princess costume. (Okay, lots of things are worse...but it's still something I'd like to avoid).

Ginger wanted to runnnnnnn around the polling place and be free from the stroller! We made our choices quickly and were able to get out of there before she tore the place down. This girl exudes glee and enthusiasm...there really is no stopping her. And that's a good thing, I think!

That is funny! Going boating sounds so much more fun than voting! Love the new costumes. I'm going to have to remember shopping the day after Halloween for dress up costumes once I have kids. It s a great idea!

This is my favortie election story.
It erases all the commercials from my brain. Thanks Paprika and Ginger. I'm sure you brought merriment to all those in line.
