Insta-Weekend!
We had a great weekend just relaxing at home. Most of these photos are Instagram - I'm Erika_Urthmama on Instagram by the way!
The girls had a great time relaxing in the backyard. Paprika kept saying how great it was to be on "vacation" - even though she still has two more weeks of school! Ha!
Popcorn snack on Saturday night - they all shared one bowl and lived to tell the tale! ;-)
More Fairy drawings by Paprika:
Violet tore this one off the wall - but luckily I saved it in time to get a picture!
Mr. M made Arnold Palmers from fresh squeezed lemonade - our neighbor Daryle has a crop of lemons right now - and she shared them! So sweet!
Three Sisters drawing by Ginger, age 3:
Daddy and Violet watching the Barbie and the Diamond Castle movie. Violet loves Barbie so much that she talks about her in her sleep. Literally.
Paprika playing with dolls in the backyard:
Violet turned 19 months old today. Where on Earth is the time going?!
Ginger came in and snuggled Violet when she woke up - these two girls are the best of friends. Even though being in the middle can sometimes be tricky, Ginger has it so good because she really does have two best friends:
Me with my sweet Ginger-Bear:
Paprika journaling in the backyard this afternoon. She read me later what she wrote/drew - and it was all about how today was such a peaceful and wonderful summer day:
Mr. M took the big girls to the park today while Violet had her nap at home. They had the BEST time with their daddy:
Violet in the baby swing in our backyard:
Daisy Doodlebug is calming down (a little) in her second year of life. She really is so great - I can't imagine a better dog for our little family:
Oh, and finally- tonight Mr. M and I went on a date! It's actually our second date this week (!!!) because we also went on a date on Thursday night after Paprika's Open House at school (will blog more about that later). We have been going out (much) more frequently since Miss Christina has been home from college, so we have been looking for little ways to mix it up.
Tonight we tried out a new pizza place downtown that has gluten-free pizzas, and then we went to Whole Foods to smell the coffee. I was joking that he took me on a date to a grocery store...and yea, that pretty much sums it up. But it was so much fun.
I said: You take me to the nicest places! Haha!
After all these years, we can have so much fun on a date anywhere. Even the grocery store! ;-)
We ended up getting a pint of chocolate ice cream and eating it at the booths they have in the store - the perfect end to a perfect date.
I think I need to persuade Christina to transfer to USC - I don't want her going back to college far away! I am having too much fun with these date nights. Ha! ;-)
