We sing A LOT in our house. All the time, in fact. We sing about anything, everything, and all things under the sun. I wanted the girls to know the 50 States in alphabetical order, so I taught them the Fifty Nifty United States song. I learned it in 6th grade, and once you know it, you never forget it! ;-) We started last week, and it only took a day or two to learn it. We had fun with it, as you can tell!
Here are their renditions of them singing the States part:
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I live in sunny Southern California, in a little beach bungalow by the sea. I homeschool my four living daughters. I also have identical twin daughters named Vivian and Annemarie who both passed away in 2008 shortly before birth. I used to work in the film biz (my husband still does), and I am an attorney, too. Now I (mostly) spend my days chasing after my little sweeties, and loving every minute of it! I now blog at http://www.urthmama.com

I still sing that song once in awhile! Love it and have taught my 6 year old it!
Your girls are so wonderful!
That's great! I learned all the U.S. Presidents to the tune of Yankee Doodle in 6th grade, and I still remember it.
Fabulous! I must learn that myself! I love how they're fiddling away as they sing and it doesn't distract them, maybe even helps them to concentrate.
