Disneyland Day!

4-12-13-8

On Wednesday, we visited The Happiest Place on Earth - Disneyland!  :-)  We were meeting up with my friend, Jen, and her family.  Even though Jen and I have known each other for seven years through our online baby group, and we chat all the time - and I read her awesome blog, Home Is Where They Send Us - this was the very first time we were meeting in person.

I was so excited I was jumping out of my skin!  We got to Disneyland while they were back at their hotel napping and resting - you know we couldn't get there before noon, right?  ;-)

So, the first part of the day, we just hung out with our little family.  I had wayyyyy overdressed the girls because it was chilly when we left the beach.  But it was scorching hot when we got to Disneyland.  Ginger had been wearing leggings under her dress but those went bye bye.  She also had her hair in ponytails, which of course she ripped out, as well.

Last week, I found Ginger with the scissors (yet again!) cutting her own hair - that girl loves to play beauty parlor on herself like no one I've ever met!  What am I going to do with her???  Love her.  Yea, that's what I'll do.  ;-)

Anyhoo- we did a bunch of rides at Disney and stopped off at Goofy's Playground to let Baby Violet run around.  She was so happy and excited.  She really tired herself out!

A little while later, Violet fell asleep in the Ergo, so I found a semi-quiet place to stand with her and rock her while Mr. M took Ginger and Paprika on rides.  :-)  I say semi-quiet because until you've had a sleeping baby at Disneyland, you do not realize how incredibly LOUD every single place in Disneyland is!

Everywhere I went, there was a band playing or people screaming or music blasting - and often, all of at the same time!  ;-)  But I guess that's part of the charm...

So, while Violet slept, I did things like take pictures of her:

And snap pictures of the wall I was standing next to...  Yea, I was a little bored!  Haha.  I stood there for about an hour until she woke up!

Then it was time to meet up with Jen and family!  We headed over to California Adventure to spend the rest of the day.   When we all met up, it was like we had known each other forever.  Because, well...we have!

Paprika and Gator got along like long lost sisters.  Within ten minutes, they were holding hands and skipping down the street.  It was funny because I have always thought that Paprika and Gator look so much alike (and they are alike in lots of ways!) - so anyway, seeing them together was like two peas in a pod.  So cute!

Here we are on the Caterpillar ride - we all got to ride it  - even the babies!

The dads took the kids on the Ladybug Teacups - Jen and I were happy to sit that one out with the babies.  ;-)

We stayed for the World of Color show and closed down the park!  We were just about the last people to leave the park - and we didn't get home until 11pm!

Just as we were saying goodbye, Jen and I realized we didn't have a picture together, so we snapped this one!

Great times and great people - does it get any better than that?  I am already planning our next meet-up!  ;-)

I'm glad to find you again. Thanks for the response. If I can ever get my three girls down to Disney, we need to go with you. Looks like you always have so much fun!
